Customise your photo album cover with your names, wedding date, initials or words from a quote or lyrics as well as the spine of the leather and fabric covers for a sentimental touch.

There are two customisation options:
blind debossing or hot stamping

Debossing is a technique that uses a die to create a transparent indent/recess into the cover leaving an impression of the design. While stamping essentially prints the design and sits on top of the fabric surface. The depth of the impression from the stamp varies according to the material chosen.

There are two stamp sizes — square up to 4″x4″ or rectangular up to 6″x2″.

We can go larger with the front cover stamp (square up to 6″x6″ or rectangular up to 8″x3″) and also stamp the album spine (up to 2″x11″) for a nominal extra cost.

We can resize the Standard cover templates to fit the larger front cover stamp, or there is a separate collection of Creative cover templates sized to fit the larger stamp and spine.

BLIND DEBOSSING

Blind Debossing is the process of using a die to make an impression of the design into the cover material. Because it’s transparent (clear) it shows the colour of the cover material below.

HOT STAMPING

Hot Stamping is a technique where the design is printed onto the album cover applying heat and pressure. Choose from 14 colours.

The photo album includes personalisation on the front cover for artwork up to 4″x4″ or 6″x2″. But for an additional charge, a larger front cover design is available. Also, a second embossing/stamp option allowing the album spine to be personalised too.

Front Cover up to 6×6″ square or 8×3″ rectangle.

Spine up to 11×2″ (depends on number of pages and thickness of spine).

A personalised photo album cover makes sure your album is different to the average Joe.

There is an extensive catalogue of Album Cover Design Templates to choose from. All designs work on all album formats (landscape, portrait & square), in some cases they may need a little tweaking. All designs can be tweaked to your liking too.

Alternatively, our designer can create a custom cover design utilising fonts and graphics from our extensive library.

If you have a specific font preference or typography used in your wedding stationery, just let us know the name of the font and we will review the font to see if it is suitable for embossing/stamping on the album cover.

If you had a custom-designed graphic created for your wedding, we can take a look to see if it is suitable to emboss on the cover as an option too.

Standard & Creative Cover Templates

The Standard designs for the album cover are created either for the square stamp up to 4″x4″ or rectangular stamp up to 6″x2″.

While the Creative album cover designs have been specifically created for the larger front cover stamp and spine stamp. The larger front cover square stamp allows for up to 6″x6″ or the rectangular stamp up to 8″x3″, while the album spine is up to 2″x11″.

Adding to the current range of photo album cover templates, these creative designs have been designed specifically for our larger front cover embossing stamp. These new designs also allow for personalising the spine of your album to compliment the front cover design.

All our album cover designs can be embossed on any of our album cover materials including the premium leather, classic leather, linen, silk, and velvet or printed onto the canvas or photo covers.

All the designs in the Creative Cover Templates can be use for any of our albums but will incur additional charges as they are sized for the larger front cover stamp and include the spine stamp. With the exception of the Luxe Colour Series Albums which includes a design from the Creative collection and already included in the price.

PRINTED END PAPERS

Album end papers, also known as linings or end sheets, are the first and last pages of a book and are used to attach the album pages to the album cover.

The album comes standard with black or white end sheets and are included in the album price. For example, dark colour album covers like black and browns, the default end sheet is black. Whereas light colour album covers like white or natural tones, the default end sheet is white.

Handmade to fit your album in the same material, colour and personalisation as on the front cover to match your album.

Must be ordered at the same time as the album. Cannot be ordered as a separate item.

How will the album be packaged if I don’t add a Boutique Box or Slipcase?

Your album still comes packaged in one of our standard boxes. Standard packaging comes in either black or natural (pictured).

The colour is chosen by us and determined by the album cover colour. For example, a dark colour album will be wrapped in a black canvas bag and placed inside a black box. While a light colour album will be wrapped in either a natural canvas bag or handmade-paper and ribbon (pictured) and placed inside a natural-coloured box (pictured), to protect the album from dust and light to keep the album looking as good as the day you received it.

What is lay-flat binding?

A lay-flat binding allows the book to open flat so you don’t loose any of the image in the middle, creating impressive full double-page spread images. The pages are thick, sturdy, won’t bend and made to last.

How many photos can I include?

All albums start with 30 pages (15 double-page spreads) — aim for 50-100 images. Extra pages can be added up to 90 pages (45 double-page spreads) to accomodate more images for an additional cost.

Will I see the design before its printed?

Absolutely yes. You will receive a digital proof to review. Included is 3 rounds of changes to ensure you are 100% happy with the design before your album design goes to print. We will not print your album until we receive your approval for the page layouts and cover design.

How long does it take the album to arrive?

Once the final design is approved and payment is made in full, your album will arrive within 3-4 weeks.

Can I order extra copies of the album for the parents and in-laws?

Yes. Duplicate copies can be ordered, but must be ordered at the same time as your album. Parent albums must be in the same format (eg. square main and square parent album) but the parent album can be the same size or smaller.
