Your photographer likely delivered digital wedding photos via an online gallery, which is convenient, super simple to navigate and gives you easy access 24/7 — but the online galleries usually have an expiry date, meaning your photos won’t last online forever.

Your first job after receiving your photos, is to download all the images and make sure they’re safely stored in not just one, but several safe places, to guarantee you can enjoy them for years to come.

Some ways we recommend to backup your wedding photos includes:

• USB
• External Hard Drive
• Computer
• Google Drive
• iCloud

Once you have backed up your digital wedding photos in several places, we recommend keeping one copy in a fireproof safe. We also highly recommend keeping at least one copy off-site (out of the house) in another location. Keeping a copy outside of your home safeguards your digital wedding photos incase (and we hope it never happens) your house burns down or its hit by a natural disaster. We suggest a family members house or a safety deposit box at a bank.

Once all the backup and archiving jobs are done (and we can’t stress how important it is to do this immediately upon receiving your digital wedding photos, so you don’t forget), you can now start thinking of the fun and creative ways to display and enjoy your wedding photographs!

Even though we live in the digital era, we are firm believers in printing photos. There’s something wonderful and nostalgic about having a tactile album to flip through as your reliving the memories on each and every page.

If you are anything like me, I have dozens of folders of photos on my computer that I don’t even want to venture into to even look through because its overwhelming at how many there are! Eeeeek!!!

The photos I have chosen to print, either in a photo album, book or hanging on the wall, these are precious memories that I get to enjoy and experience regularly because they are in hands reach.
