Enchanted in Print: Bespoke Wedding Magazine Design for a Woodland Wedding in Scotland

From Forest to Page: Designing a dreamy bespoke wedding magazine for a newlywed couple's magical Jewish ceremony in a Scottish woodlands setting.

Designing a Custom Wedding Magazine for a Dreamy Scottish Woodland Ceremony

Designing a custom wedding magazine is always a joyful process—but when the wedding takes place in an enchanted forest in the heart of Scotland, complete with a traditional Jewish ceremony under a floral chuppah, the story almost writes itself. Almost.

We had the absolute pleasure of designing these newlyweds bespoke wedding magazine whose love story unfolded like a fairytale.

Their wedding was held within the mossy woodlands of Perthshire, Scotland—a setting that felt plucked from a fantasy novel. With sunlight filtering through trees, and guests gathered under a marquee filled with foliage, every detail was imbued with magic. Our mission? To capture it all in a custom-designed wedding magazine that felt just as cinematic and heartfelt as their big day.

Chloe & Andrew were married at The Byre At Inchyra in Perthshire, Scotland — a beautifully restored rustic barn set on 150 acres of private enchanted woodlands in the Scottish countryside about an hour from Glasgow and Edinburgh.

We helped them turn their fun-filled wedding day photographs captured by the talented and Top 50 UK Wedding Photographers Zoe Alexandra Photography into a beautiful 200 page coffee table wedding magazine.

Below are some of the page spreads from the magazine design which incorporated literally hundreds of their photographs, capturing everything from the romantic moments, their loved ones, the stunning decor and party vibes scattered throughout the pages of the magazine.

We love including full page images to let the couples favourite moments standout and geez did this couple have heaps of great captured moments to choose from. We intertwine the full page images with pages full of storytelling images.

The couple chose our 200 page edition but the magazines are available in 100, 200 & 300 page editions so you can include heaps of your special day photos along with words, anything and everything from your how we met and proposal stories to vows, speeches, extracts from lyrics, vendor credits, guest list and so on.

“We just got back from a holiday to find our wedding magazines waiting for us and we absolutely love them! We are SO happy with how they turned out and I can’t wait to send a copy on to my mum! Thank you so much :)”

Crafting the Visual Narrative

Something our custom wedding magazine does that the traditional photo album doesn’t is what draws couples to the idea of a wedding magazine. A polished publication, story-driven, and editorial in style. Together, we create a publication that blends the romance of a glossy magazine with the intimacy of a personal memoir.

Each section of the magazine was carefully mapped to follow the emotional and joyful day: from behind-the-scenes bridal prep and groomsmen banter, to the heartfelt ceremony under the chuppah, romantic moments shared as newlyweds, all the way through to the candlelit feast and dancing the night away.

Story-Driven Layouts & Hero Images

We use story-inspired layouts with full-page images scattered throughout the magazine. These stunning shots act as visual breathers between the narrative, along with double-page hero spreads.

To guide the reader through the day, snippets of the couple’s vows, and even speeches during the reception from family and the wedding party. Editorial-style lyrics “Dancing In The Moonlight” and “Can’t Help Falling In Love” are used to add a touch of sentiment.

The magazine captures the natural tones—forest greens, warm creams, and golden accents—mirroring the mood of the day. Text was set in elegant serif fonts for that editorial touch, with details sprinkled throughout to preserve the personal tone.

By weaving written content into the custom wedding magazine, adds a personal touch and a way for the bride and groom to look back in years to come and remember the more intricate details of their day. These additions made the magazine not just a keepsake, but a legacy piece.

The Final Product: The Perfect Coffee Table Keepsake

The finished wedding magazine was printed on premium matte paper with a soft-touch laminated cover featuring the couples favourite images along with their names and date (the magazine sitting on the coffee table is a subtle reminder for upcoming anniversaries). The couple opted for the 200 page magazine, giving them space to include a lot more photos than a traditional photo album.

Chloe & Andrew now have a timeless coffee table magazine that tells the complete story of their enchanted wedding day—something they can revisit on anniversaries, share with family, and flip through whenever they need to feel the magic again.

Now let’s take a peek inside some of the pages from their custom wedding magazine design.
