What’s so special about the Printed Collection album covers?

The personalisation on our leather and fabric covers of our fine art albums is limited to stamping/embossing up to 4×4 inch or 6×2 inch with our standard dies, or for an additional cost up to 6×6 inch or 8×3 inch dies, but that’s as big as they can go and limited placements (mostly we opt for optically centred).

One way around this is the photo cover. A photo printed on a fabric such as canvas, wrapping around the entire album cover (and laminated for protection) — traditionally featuring one of the couples favourite photos with the personalisation of their names & wedding date printed over the photo.

But, our creative brains got to work to find a solution for how can we go bigger with the typography? The concept was literally staring at us in the face!!!

By re-imaging the photo cover concept, we create designs (instead of a photo) to print on the fabric material. Basically filling the entire front cover, spine and back cover with a cool design using illustrations and any size typography in any place on the cover. Plus, we are no longer limited to the already extensive 60+ colours from the leather, linen, silk and velvet materials. We can use any damn colour we please (hint: like custom matching to your wedding colour palette)!

This leaves a range of possibilities open when it comes to designing photo album covers. Oh and you bet our designers will be exploring this idea further… watch this space for more fun designs.
