A Custom Wedding Magazine for a Wild Tasmanian Elopement
Designing a custom wedding magazine is always a joy, but when Temby and Ben approached us with their elopement photos in Tasmania, we knew this was something special. Their intimate ceremony took place at Thalia Haven, a secluded coastal retreat on Tasmania’s east coast. With dramatic stone architecture and panoramic views of the Southern Ocean, it offered the perfect setting for their heartfelt vows.
Their wedding was a beautiful blend of intimacy, cosy cabin vibes and wild Tasmanian countryside — and we wanted to honour that by creating a timeless keepsake that celebrated every detail.
Designing a Story-Driven Magazine
From the very beginning, our goal was to design a wedding magazine that felt like a love letter to their day. Each page was carefully curated to tell their story — from the map that showed the destination, getting ready in the cosy cabin to the intimate ceremony and beautiful portraits captured around Thalia Haven property to wrap up their special day.
Rather than a traditional album, we designed a modern, editorial-style magazine that felt personal yet polished. Using story-driven page designs, we let their words and photos guide the flow. Their vows, candid moments, and quiet in-between scenes.
Hero Images That Take Your Breath Away
Given the stunning backdrop of Thalia Haven — with its stone walls, wild coastline, and raw Tasmanian beauty — we knew full-page hero images would be essential. These immersive spreads act like cinematic pauses, allowing the viewer to soak in the emotion of the scene.
Dramatic full-page moments of Temby and Ben offer many standout moments in the magazine. Other pages feature wide-angle images of the coastline and soft portraits framed by the scenery.
Product Details & Custom Features
Temby & Ben’s magazine was created using our premium matte paper, and the same paper but in a thicker stock for the cover. The laminated softcover has a luxe, soft-touch velvety feel that suits both colour and black-and-white photography.
Their magazine was 100 pages in length, combining editorial features with photojournalistic spreads. Every element — from font choice to layout balance — was chosen to echo the natural, emotional, and intimate tone of their elopement.
A Forever Keepsake
For couples like Temby and Ben, a custom magazine is more than a photo album — it’s the story of their day, something they’ll revisit for years to come. We’re so honoured to have captured their beautiful Tasmanian elopement in print.
Whether you’re eloping on a wild coastline or having a big celebration, your love story deserves to be told your way.
